Ren I Tang Heritage Inn occupies three restored shophouse units that originally housed a Chinese medical hall opened in the 1800s. The ground floor contains a small museum displaying historical artifacts from the original pharmacy, including antique medical paraphernalia. A tranquil herbal courtyard garden offers guests a quiet retreat, while the inn's bistro and gift shop are open daily for meals and souvenirs.

Each of the 18 rooms is individually furnished, with some featuring traditional wooden soaking tubs for a cool soak after exploring the city. Rooms are located across three floors and retain original architectural details such as high ceilings, timber flooring, and Chinese roof tiles. A passenger lift is available to assist guests with luggage or mobility needs, and the steep heritage staircases are preserved for character.

Guests are served a complimentary breakfast each morning featuring a variety of local specialties including Nyonya kuih, roti canai, and freshly baked homemade bread.
